Initial Spark
What inspired me to create a rice pot logo was the rice cooker I have at home. A special rice cooker wrapped in batik, really iconic, that holds a special place in my heart. At first I wanted to make a rice cooker logo. Then, after writing a poem about rice and pots, it made more sense to create a rice pot logo. As the rice pot represents the container that holds life, with the rice symbolizing my life's contents.
You can use the most expensive pottery,
To store the rice within.
Just remember—it is the rice that gives the human life.
This poem later became the opening text of my website, and eventually led me to explore how this idea could exist visually as a logo.
